Town Centre :

Starting at the Place Jean Mernoz (where you will find the Friday market and the boules area), ending at Place Louis Blanc and bordered by the river Preconil, you can enjoy immediate access to a range of shopping, markets and a full range of services. The public and private beaches are close to hand as are the gaming-Casino and the Carrefour supermarket / shopping centre.

Real estate perspective: The majority of these buildings were constructed in the 1960’s and 1970’s. The area surrounding the Post Office has more recent buildings circa 2000 to 2010. The town centre comprises mainly of apartments.

Historic town :

The Historic or "old town" of Sainte Maxime pivots around the place du Marche where the authentic Provençal market opens every Thursday, summer and winter. The indoor market, Marche couvert, opens daily and makes a great visit, with plenty to savour... or to buy. Truly Provençal. The streets are filled with authentic shops, each telling a story.

A five minute ascent to the Hotel de Ville - where the panoramic views open up over the tiled roofs of the old town, and onwards to St Tropez and environs, is well worth the effort.

Descend again to the Port where you have the cafes and restaurants, the boules area, the small tourist train, the marina and the main quay where the « bateaux verts » can offer you a trip of the gulf or a regular service to St Tropez.

Real estate perspective: Traditionally built stone buildings and tiled roofs ooze character and warmth. Properties range from small apartments to village houses, most are wonderfully preserved or renovated. A few luxury buildings have been built this last years.

Sémaphore :

Valued locally for it's tranquility, expanse and proximity to the old town, the long retired radar station still presiding over the summit contributed hugely to the defence forces from around 1860 and from here you can enjoy the vastness and beauty of the area for as far as the eye can see.
